Evil Angel was founded in 1989 and shaped the entire gonzo and anal genre. The studio functions as a distributor for director-branded content, meaning the catalogue is diverse in style while sharing an emphasis on explicit, director-led production rather than a house style.

The back catalogue is enormous and spans some of the most historically significant content in the genre. Membership gives access to current releases and a large archive. For anal video specifically, this is one of the founding institutions.
